    As you can tell, Ubisoft has remained very quiet about Far Cry 3. All we have heard about it so far is from programmers as well as other important employees stating how its well along in development. Now some recent references were uncovered by superannuation at Twitter. Ubisoft declined to comment on the speculation.

    But that's not it, a senior software developer at Ubisoft Montreal just recently listed their work for an "unannounced shooter sequel" for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on their resume. A technical director of scripted events also listed it on their resume as an "undisclosed first-person shooter" once again being developed for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. They also included that it has "exotic gameplay".

    If the UK edition of Official Playstation Magazine is to be believed rumors state that Far Cry 3 may be here before the end of the year. A snippet from the magazine reads, "Start taking the malaria medicine in preparation: Far Cry 3 could be arriving before the end of this year."

    In August 2008, Far Cry 3 was confirmed to be in preliminary stages of development by the game's publisher Ubisoft. Since then the only major things we've heard about the game is from Far Cry 2 scriptwriter Kevin Shortt who claimed the game looked "pretty amazing". Ubisoft's Patrick Redding noted the game could possibly be set in Antarctica. There has yet to be anything seen of Far Cry 3.

    Could this rumor be true? We'll find out at this year's E3 most probably.
