Paul Ferenc was born in Budapest, Hungary, to an alcoholic and abusive father and a mother who tried her best to protect him. (As shown when mercy killed, he says,"God, Mom, I'm so sorry.) He grew up in a terrible environment and killed his father in self-defense in 1998. He fled Budapest and its authorities and ended up in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces), where he served in the war there and received military training. He was also known for laziness, finding loopholes in IDF rules and disrespecting his commanders, which led to his desertion in 2003. He served as a contraband smuggler in a major Eurasian black market in Morocco, running guns from Morocco to Saudi Arabia. He worked as security for transportations until 2008, when he became a mercenary. He is fluent in English, Hungarian and Hebrew, and he speaks some Arabic.
