The M4 Assault Weapon is an assault rifle in the game Far Cry.

It is the first automatic weapon the player comes across, and can be found in one of the huts right at the start of the first level. A very dependable weapon, it has decent accuracy and stopping power and a high rate of fire, and can even act as a substitute for a Sniper Rifle when assaulting an enemy position at medium-long range. It has a 30 round magazine and two firing modes; semi-automatic and automatic. Switching to semi-automatic makes recoil more manageable, useful if you are trying to make those tricky headshots at a distance, while automatic fire provides good firepower at close range.
