PetroSahel is a location in Far Cry 2.

Layout

It's a small fuel storage facility located in the north-west sector of the Leboa-Sako District. It's under control of the UFLL. A road runs straight through the center of the facility and connects it to a small outpost to the east and the North Railyard to the south-west. There's a set of parallel train tracks that runs to the north of the facility.

The layout of the facility is very basic, consisting of a main building, 2 silos, a small office building, 3 petrol storage tanks, and a freight loading platform running alongside the tracks with some containers on it. There's some train cars parked near the oil platform. Oil spills cover the ground. A sniper keeps watch out over the facility from the rightmost petrol storage tank.

A cargo truck spawns near the office.

Role in-game

If you choose to take the subverted route for Destroy the compressor in the junkyard garage, then your best buddy will ask you to collect a truck route map from the office here.

Notes

• "Sahel" is the name of a region spanning the most southern part of the Sahara desert beginning in Senegal and ending in Eritrea. Presumably, the company that owned this facility operated out of this region before expanding business to the UAC.
• A diamond case can be found here, but it's in a difficult to reach place. To get to it, you need to get on top of the center petrol storage tank and jump onto a set of parked train cars. Then you can safely grab it.
