Fort is a location in Far Cry 2.

Summary[]

The Legion Fort was a colonial fort built by European settlers in the 1700's or the 1800's. When the Unnamed African Country (UAC) gained independence from European colonial powers, it was turned into a personal residence for King Nnyere. During the destructive civil war, it was taken over by the APR as a heavily guarded military base. King Nnyere came back from Belgium to the UAC and he still resides in the fort under APR protection until his death by his son Prince Oeduard using the player's character.

Gameplay[]

It is located in the north-eastern sector of the Leboa-Sako District.

The fort is situated on top of a large hill with rock cliffs on two sides. Inside the fort there is a fuel resupply in the courtyard that with a few well placed shots can set the entire ground section of the courtyard on fire. There are two snipers on towers overlooking the approaches and many enemies inside.

One method of entering the fort is to take the footpath on the left side and go in through the side entrance, where little or no resistance will be encountered. However, prior to entering, it is important that the snipers on the towers are taken out.

There are two diamond cases here.

Trivia[]

  • Given that it is referred to specifically as a Legion fort by some characters, this could imply its construction by the French Foreign Legion, which has a very long history in Africa as an expression of colonial interests in the continent.
