Buddy Missions are side-missions in Far Cry 2.
Description[]
Upon completion of the tutorial, the player will be able to take side work from the other mercenaries at Mike's Bar. These missions are considered favors and do not pay with diamonds. Rather, they increase the player's reputation and history with that certain buddy.
The player can complete a total of sixteen Buddy Missions, with eight in each territory. Their best buddy and backup buddy give out two each from the beginning of the game, and a random mercenary will give out another two once the faction missions have been started. Upon completing the mercenary rescue mission for the doorman of the UFLL headquarters in each act, the rescued mercenary will give out a further two missions.
When the player completes the set of missions for a mercenary, they may become their best buddy or backup buddy if the player had little to no history with their original.
Act 1[]
- Go to the oasis in the southeast and find Quarbani's missing lockbox
- Go to the police station garage and steal the prototype ammo
- Go to the villa and destroy the cargo down by the docks
- Go to the Junkyard clinic and destroy the medic's supplies
- Go to the small house on the south river and kill the trafficker
- Go to the rail yard and find the lost box of files
- Go to the greenhouses and steal the sack of leaves
- Go to Shwasana village and destroy the fuel station
Act 2[]
- Go to the TaeMoCo mine and kill the mine chief
- Go to Sefapane and kill the arms smuggler at the UFLL command post
- Go to the Dogon Village and kill the APR official
- Go to the airfield and kill the arms dealer
- Head to the old Dental Clinic and destroy the radio transmitter
- Go to the Polytechnic and destroy the supplies
- Go to the Pipeline construction site and kill the man on the tower
- Go to Sefapane and grab the meeting notes from the bedroom
