- "It’s a bow. Seriously, if you need a description of what a bow does, maybe you should stop playing. Maybe read a dictionary. People who don’t know what bows are get shot in the eyeballs. "But a bow isn't the future", you're whining. That's why we put neon on it, because neon is the future. Hence, this is a bow of the future."

The Bow is a weapon featured in Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
It behaves identically to the regular Far Cry 3 bow, except outlined in glowing neon. The arrows also glow, and leave a neon trail in the air when fired, which makes it much easier to judge the trajectory of the arrows and re-adjust aim if necessary. Unlike the main game's recurve bow, scope upgrades are not available for the bow in Blood Dragon, so the player is stuck with the built-in default sights. However, the bow arguably has greater utility in Blood Dragon compared to Far Cry 3, as the game lacks a silenced sniper rifle, leaving the bow as the only practical silent sniping weapon at long range (due to the A.J.M. 9's lack of range or one-shot-kill stopping power).
- As a silent weapon, the bow is ideal for stealth kills.
- The neon glow of the weapon does not make Rex more visible to enemies, so regular stealth tactics still work just fine.
- As none of the Omega Force soldiers are ever seen using a bow, it is unclear exactly why there are so many arrows stockpiled on the island.
